TA Communications

Blogs vs list serves vs regular e-mails vs leafletting under doors.

Each of these communications media outlets (plus phones, in-person meetings, etc.) has advantages/disadvantages/best-use guidelines.

Let's discuss guidelines/ways that we can best channel our communications most effectively and efficiently.

Let us know your thoughts on what communications the Tenants Association should be sharing and how you would like to get information/contribute to the discussion, etc.

Hmmm, what happened to all my chatty neighbors? Well, here are some thoughts to start the discussion:

Our list serve should be used for 1) time sensitive general notices that affect all/most members and 2) content-sensitive information that's not for the general public.

This blog site should be used for 1) distributing, 2) discussing and/or 3) gathering non-time-sensitive info that's not particularly confidential. If tenants want to mask their identity, they should change their screen name for anonymity.

Community websites, e.g., apartmentratings.com, should be used for posting information to the wider public.

Is this too complicated?
